A different kind of mask

Let's talk about masks... not the kind that helps reduce the spread of infection, but the kind that makes your face feel fresh and dewy. (Just had to use "dewy" because it makes me laugh). Who doesn't love how your face feels when it's really clean? We've tried lots of drugstore masks from the ones with mud to the ones with "tiny cleansing beads"... whatever the heck those are. So, we were psyched when one of our favorite Colorado Daisy gals came up with her own recipe for a face mask while sitting at home during COVID-19. A great time to be creative! This mask can be made with stuff you already have and it even tastes delicious if it drips into your mouth.

Mix together:
1 teaspoon of honey
1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice
1/4 tsp of cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of powdered ginger

Wash off any make-up you're wearing - are you actually wearing make-up during the pandemic?!? Pat your face dry and then smear the honey/lemon concoction all over your face - of course avoiding your eyes. Then sit back and relax for 15-20 minutes. When you've relaxed long enough, wash off the mask with warm water and a washcloth; dry your face and use your normal moisturizer. How do you feel? Maybe kind of wholesome and refreshed? If you don't use it all, give your child a beauty treatment too or put it in a sealed container in your fridge and use it again on yourself tomorrow!

What kind of things are you doing that bring joy and warmth to your heart during these crazy times?
